Jacques Lacan: une chronologie / Deborah Gutermann-Jacquet
Summary: The thinking of Jacques Lacan (1901-1981) is, along with that of Barthes, Foucault, Derrida and Deleuze, essential for understanding our modernity. More than 40 years after his death, the Center Pompidou-Metz presents an exhibition which will reveal the privileged relationships of Jacques Lacan with art, by resonating, both the works that he himself indexed, but also by putting into perspective modern and contemporary works that can echo the major conceptual and significant articulations of his thought. The catalogue which accompanies exhibition presents themes dear to the psychoanalyst in the form of a dictionary essential for reading the Lacanian universe.
